Q. What is the chance of the recipient couple achieving a pregnancy with the process of egg donation?
A. A couple has approximately a 65% chance of achieving a pregnancy with the help of a young, healthy egg donor.

Q. If I choose an egg donor from your program, can I still work with my own doctor?
A. Yes, we are not a medical facility. We will coordinate arrangements between your doctor and your chosen donor.

Q. What fees are paid to the donor?
A. An egg donor's fees can vary from $5000 to $15000. For the first donation, the fee is $5,000. For repeat donors, their compensation is higher and increases with the number of donations.

Q. What is the average age of egg recipients?
A. The general age range is 30 - 50 years old, with the average age being 42.

Q. What is the time commitment for a donation?
A. Assuming no complications, it typically takes three months to undergo the complete process.

Q. What if my egg donor does not produce eggs, even after being stimulated?
A. Typically, a doctor will cancel a cycle if a donor produces fewer than four good sized follicles. In such an event, the donor will receive $500 as a thank you gift in appreciation for her attempt to try and help you.

Q. What happens to the eggs we do not use?
A. All eggs retrieved from the cycle are fertilized with sperm. The doctor will determine the number of embryos that are implanted into the uterus of the recipient. If desired by recipient, the remaining embryos will be frozen for possible future use.

Q. What if we do not get pregnant with our egg donor?
A. The recipient couple has a few different alternatives if the egg donation process did not result in pregnancy. They may choose to use the frozen embryos if this option is available to them. They may also opt to select a different egg donor or decide to participate in a surrogacy program. Each couple will decide which option is the best suited for them.

Q. Can you help us find a medical facility to assist us?
A. Yes, we would be happy to refer you to a reputable medical facility.

Q. Can I bring in my own donor? (i.e. friend)
A. Yes, you may seek the services of Miracles for the proper facilitation of the process and be assured all administration and legalities will be taken care of.
